OK Julochka you are so responsible for a lot!!!! I have been trying now for almost a year to find a suitable pen pal for daughter Sydney. She is 8 and she is a well travelled, intelligent, funny little creature who is desperate to communicate with someone in another part of the world, preferably England but anywhere will do.
She wrote a letter to a little boy over there who is the son of a dear friend and he never replied, explanation from Mum is that he's a boy, they don't write letters to girls. OK. So then we tried an electronic pen pal, we emailed the daughter of another friend from home and still no response.
Having seen Addie and Sabin's site I am inspired to try a blog like this for Sydney, so if you have a budding blogger who loves to take pictures, communicate and describe her life please let me know.. we'll be interviewing candidates next week... kidding. Thanks again Julie the fairyblogmother of all Bloggidyville.

When i was a small (English) boy I was very keen to have an American girl as a penpal (so exotic). When I got a reply from one she told me she really liked the name Ian and already had eight other penpals with the same name. I did not write back. We English may be old school, gullible suckers, but we are not THAT gullible.
ooh, i've been sadly neglecting sabin & addie these past two weeks (and likely next), since it's crunch time with my magazine. i have a friend who is english and living here in DK who has a daughter who is 8 and it's possible she'd be interested. i'll ask her (promising nothing as of yet, as she just had a baby and might feel like it's madness). but let me get back to you. and in the meantime, have her read addie & sabin's blog and comment all you want there--if she has questions, ask them.
and thank you for using my "fairyblogmother" thing--i thought i was so clever for coming up with it, but no one has reacted! silly me, i know, but i think it's so fun!
They haven't reacted because they're still reeling from the brilliance of it!!! LOL...either that or they just don't get it :o)
