Wierd and Wonderful Wednesday

OK you insectologists out there... I know there's a fancy name for it... what the heck is that bug I snapped pictures of at the weekend? It looked kinda like a humming bird the way it buzzed those wings back and forth quicker than the speed of light. He didn't seem to be bothered by the crowd gathered around looking at him wondering what in the world is it?

We've always called them hummingbird moths...I looked quick and the other name is a white lined sphinx moth. They are so neat to see buzzing around!

Urrghhh are you kidding me! I hate moths! I have to say though it was pretty fascinating.

How can you hate moths??? They're butterflies cousins! I hate bees, wasps, hornets, cicada killers, bumble bees, dirt dodgers, wood borers...
