Just a Quickie.... or not???/

Whenever I say just a quickie it turns out to be a longie... gufaww gufaaww!!!!!

I just wanted to get on here and thank my newest followers!!! I am so grateful when I get new followers it's like playing to a whole new crowd, and you know how much I love playing to the crowd. I love the old crowd too don't get me wrong, so don't start commenting saying hey how 'bout me blah blah blah.. (that's aimed at Bambi and Spud 'cos they're the needy, whiney ones) (that I really heart so much!!). There....

So in case you don't know what I"m about, I am married to a gorgeous man who is kinda funny and witty himself in a shyish kinda way. I have two girls who are HILARIOUS.... really it's a riot,most of it is so quick and there's so much I can't remember it all but that was how this blog was borne. I try and put down their antics and share a little of what it's like to be 40 and raise two kids in elementary school.... actually Ash is just in Kindergarten!!! I am torn as to whether I think it's a good idea to have kids later in life (wtf??) or in your early twenties... right about now I"m a little jealous of those my age with teenagers who fend for themselves... until I hear the cell phone/computer/boys stuff then I go back to being happy dealing with hair brushing and putting away Barbies!!!!!

Tonight, I am on the computer tapping away at the keys and Ash is behind me playing while I try and concentrate..... and this Mr Therapist is how the conversation went..... word for word....

Ash..... where's Syd??

Ash.... well if you don't tell me I'll just look weird and put this snorkel down my pants!!!!

So there's the gist of it, in a nutshell, life is grand, I love my family and I love this little Southern GA

I am lying on the bed blogging, the sun is peeking in through the blinds, nice.

The Shih Tzus are enjoying this too, they're lying here with me licking each others ears.

I can hear the girls chit chatting nicely in the next room, I can't make out exactly what they're saying but i can tell by the tone and giggles that they are enjoying each other this morning.... bliss!

I have awoken to some fantastic comments on my blogs and that's always uplifting.

A good friend of mine has a farm, methinks it might be a good day to take the girls out there!

I have no plans, I don't care about the laundry, it's peaceful and I'm absorbing every second!

Thirty Nine Followers....I feel a giveaway coming on!!!

This morning I logged on and obviously the first thing to grab my attention is that I have 39 followers!!! yay me!!!! I've come along way since forcing my friends to follow me in the beginning and I'm grateful for everyone who reads and comments on my blog, I'm needy like that, I have to have responses in order to get through the day, it's like an addiction..... well it is an addiction.... Ali's Blog Addiction!!!!

So dear friends if you've been reading my blog and not FOLLOWING me it's time to take the plunge... go on... it's OK.. I don't bite and we're all in this together. Ode to Courtney.....

OK it's been all of about ten minutes since my last blog and I have another idea to get down in writing!!!! The girls are now outside with Katie Next Door and therefore adequetly looked after by Katie Next Door's adoring Daddy (thanks Trace). So here I go......

Miss Courtney is one of my co-workers and one who, as yet, hasn't received a mention in my blogs, simply because I knew that when she did get in here it would be in a big way!!! You see Court is a lot younger than me but SO on my wavelength it's scarey, I have brought up the fact that we are twins separated at birth many times and she reminds me that I am an old mare and she's a young filly. The horse reference comes from the fact that Courtney (or Cricket as I like to call her) is a country girl through and through. She lives on a farm with hubby Kris and they have horses, cows, dogs and cats. I am pretty sure there are no chickens or pigs but she could probably get some cheap hogs what with the swine flu and all. She does buy a pig once a year and fatten it up for her step-daughter to "show", they wash it in Downy or something and then parade it in a ring, win ribbons and finally take it home and eat it. What an idylic lifestyle, I am so in awe of Courtney and her farm stuff.

She's a funny gal with an infantile sence of humor like mine, she likes to play on words like I do and she takes my silly pranks with a pinch of salt. There have only been a couple of occasions that she has felt the need to threaten to "kill me". I am a little nervous I have to say because I overheard her telling Holli today that she had taken out a mocking bird once at her mother's house..... she shot the thing.... then she probably grilled it but I don't know that that is true so don't repeat it.

I asked her today if she would "follow" my blog because I know she reads it and I aspire to have a gazillion followers just like Julochka. Well we couldn't do it because it was blocked at work so I came home and made a google account for her (there are no computers or cable tv on the farm) and now she's a follower, the idea for the blog came when I added a horses head as her picture on her profile!!! She's probably going to "kill me" again tomorrow. But then she will love me all over again when I tell her how much it means to me to now have FIVE whole followers.... only 728 to go. Courtney you're a diamond!!! a gem!!! a little gold corn cob!!!!! Now get out there and tell your friends to FOLLOW ME!!!!!
